We are always keen to welcome new members to our ranks.  However, in order to facilitate efficient training schedules, we only accept new applications for membership at the start of each winter training season.  No applications for active firefighters will be considered outside of this window.

Logistics Support is welcomed at all times.  We are always keen to meet Capetonians and Bolanders who want to help us fight wildfires in a constructive manner.  In order to do this, logistics planning must coodinate teams that assist with everything from food preparation, to sourcing donations, to transport, fuel and equipment supplies.  If you can help out in this regard, feel free to mail the VWS Logistics Director, Charles Phillips, who will direct your enquiry to the relevant VWS team.  You can contact Charles by mailing logistics@capefires.com

New Recruits, Fitness Walks and Entrance Interviews
Over the course of the training season, senior VWS members will interview all New Recruits in our ranks. The entrance interviews are a relaxed way of getting to know each other better, allowing you to ask questions and find out more about us.
