Our Fleet

Ranging in size from bakkies to 3-ton trucks, the Volunteer Wildfire Services operates a dedicated fleet of fire fighting vehicles. Our fleet of vehicles operate all year round, day or night.

Skid Units

Our Skid Unit is a 4×2 Isuzu KB 250 that was built as a first responder vehicle.

Personnel Carriers

We have two 4×4 Land Rover Defender 2.5TDi vehicles that are used to transport our ground crews and hand tools.

Supply Vehicles

Our TATA 3-ton truck is used to transport ground crews, equipment and other logistical supplies during large scale fire fighting operations.

We also operate a 2.2L GWM bakkie as an operational and logistics vehicle.

Mobile Planning Stations

We have a caravan that has been converted into a Mobile Planning Unit which is used during large scale fire fighting operations and which acts as a central command and first aid station.
