The Volunteer Wildfire Services has trained 8 fire fighters through Emergency Medical Training (EMT) in advanced Level III first aid.

The course was run over two consecutive weekends and was an excellent reminder of the dangers involved in wild land fire fighting operations and how to deal with severe medical emergencies.

Emergency simulations ranged from sprained ankles to motor vehicle accidents with multiple patients and tested the fire fighters to the extreme.
